Tournament Participation
Each tournament has its own criteria for eligibility which will be posted on the registration sheet for each event.
Class "C" (Restricted Monthly) members may play in all events (except club championships), but are subject to
certain restrictions. There are no restrictions for the Men's and Women's Invitationals and Opening Day. All
golf members may participate in these events regardless of their membership category.


Leagues
* Register for leagues by contacting the golf shop or signing up on the sheets outside the locker rooms.

Women's 9-Hole ­ Tuesdays, May 17 through August 30. First group begins play at 5:00 PM.

Women's 18 Hole ­ Wednesdays, May 18 through August 31. First group begins play at 9:00 AM.

Men's 9 Hole ­ Thursdays, May 19 through September 1. First group begins play at 5:30 PM.

Beginner Women's Social Golf ­

Instructional league for beginners and women with handicaps of 40 or more.
Guests are welcome to attend. Takes place on Thursdays throughout the Season: May 12 & 26, June 16 & 23,
July 7 & 28, August 11 & 25. Weekly schedule: 5:30 PM ­ lesson, 6:00 ­ 4 holes of golf, 7:30 ­
Dessert/cocktails.

Junior Golf ­ Awarded "Honorable Mention" status by US Kids Golf in 2008 as one of the Top 50 Kids
Teaching Staffs, Youth Golf Director, Jess Lewis, and Head Professional, Rob Karnes, direct this Instructional league for children. Juniors, divided into groups (1, 3, 5, or 9 holes) based on age and ability, meet on Friday mornings throughout the summer for instruction and then head out to play. Dates for 2011: June 17 & 24, July 8, 15, 22 & 29, August 5. Details will be available in May and our Junior Program Kickoff Night will take place on Thursday, June 2 (6:30 PM) in the ballroom. We are always looking for parents or grandparents to serve on the Junior Golf Committee and help organize and administer the program for our 70+ youth golfers. Please let us know if you are interested.

The golf course and practice facilities are closed to all other activity on Junior Golf Fridays until
approximately 11:00 AM.


Toledo District Golf Association

MGCC is a member club of the Toledo District Golf Association (TDGA) and the Women's District
(TWDGA). This association is our local USGA affiliate and handles our handicap service (through www.ghin.com). In addition, the District hosts a great tournament schedule open ONLY to members of the
affiliated clubs. The Toledo area has some fantastic golf courses and each year's tournament schedule features
many of them.
