Membership  Information

The Monroe Golf and Country Club offers exceptional amenities and is the place of choice for social entertaining, golf and business meetings. Over the years, the Club has developed a true feeling of camaraderie among its members.  And establishing pleasant and rewarding relationships with fellow members continues to make Monroe Golf and Country Club a unique place to be.

We can also proudly state that our Club’s membership roster is comprised of a combination of Monroe County’s, and the immediate surrounding areas, most outstanding families, individuals, and business leaders. As we proceed in our eighty-ninth year of service, we hope you will consider all of the privileges that being a member at Monroe Golf and Country Club provides.

We are very excited to introduce THE most innovative membership marketing initiative the Club has ever embarked on. And in this case, the savings are shared between two memberships at the same time, making Club dues lower than they have been in years!

Partnership Member Combinations: New Class A, A2, S, and C-Family members who partner with another new or current Class A, A2, S or C-Family member are eligible for the reduced partnership dues. New Class C-Restricted may partner with another new or current Class A, A2, S, C-Family or C-Restricted member to receive reduced partnership dues. New Class B members may partner with new or current members in any membership classification to receive reduced partnership dues.

Partner Membership Accounts: Each member in a partnership is responsible for their own separate membership account and all fees (Golf Services Package, Beautification, etc..) and minimum spending requirements associated with their particular membership category. While the partnership exists, each has their own individual membership.

Partnership Agreements: Only one partnership is allowed per membership. An agreement regarding the partnership must be signed before the dues reduction takes place. The agreement will include the amounts paid by each partner, however, the partners may agree to modify the split as they deem fit at the beginning of each year.

Resignations and Transfers: If a transfer/resignation of a partner takes place after May 31, the remaining member will complete the current year at the established partnership dues rate. The remaining member would then return to the normal individual membership dues rate at the beginning of the next calendar year unless a new partnership is established. If the transfer/resignation of a partner takes place between January 1 and May 31 of any year, the normal individual membership dues rate will apply for the remaining member unless a new partnership is established.

Class A Stockholding Requirements: A new Class A stockholding member (or a transfer to Class A) is required to purchase stock upon acceptance at the reduced price of $300.

Initiation Fee Commitment: A $2,000 Initiation Fee is required for all new members is not due in advance and in fact, will be reduced by $100 per month for each month membership is maintained. For a new member joining in May 2010, the descending credit will create a $0 Initiation Fee balance in December 2011. Resignation prior to this date will result in the remaining balance being due with the submission of a resignation letter.
